but now when we go out in the feild [sic] on bivouac we work with Combat Common [drawing?] and you never know when your [sic] to have time to write. Ray is down here with me to night [sic] and he has a little girl trouble and want[s] me to help him out. He told me the situation and I can’t help him. Its seems [sic] that his girl friend [sic] wrote to him and told him that she’s going with another guy back home and she still want[s] Ray, but Ray can’t see it that way and he wants to know what to do. Well darling guess what? We[‘]re going out on bivouac again to-morrow [sic] but
[Page 3]
I’m going to take my writing paper so I can write letters. Gee darling I love you so very much and how I missed you to-day [sic] was terrible. I tried to get you an Easter card but when I got back from the feild [sic] they were all sold out so I guess you have to go without one. Well darling I got to go now. You know that old saying Early to bed and Early to rise make[s] a man healthy ---- wise. Good night darling and I’ll write you when I can. I love you with all my heart. As Ever,
Howard
