Hello darling:

I got another letter from you to day [sic] and you said you saw Jane Eyre, well I saw it about two months before you. I’ll admit it was very different. Well anyway it [is] a different kind of day to day [sic]. You’d almost think you were at the[N]orth [P]ole it’s so darn cold here and then they tell us that we shed our OD and put on summer uniforms the 16th of this month, personally I think there [sic] crazy but the army knows best. (I hope). As for to morrow [sic] I got

to go out to the range and fire the Rocket Launcher. You probably won’t know what it is but just the same I’m going to fire it. Then I guess we’re going on bivouac don’t you like that word. Well darling there[‘s] nothing else new at this time so I guess I’ll say good night. I love you very much darling and I hope I’ll be able to go home and stay pretty soon so keep loving me a little. I love you enough now for the both of us. As Ever,
Howard
