Darling Yve,
I am glad to hear from you. I got three letters from you to-day [sic]. Well to begin with we changed clothes to-day [sic] and put on our sun tan out fits [sic] they are pretty nice. I was going to have my picture taken in it and send you one but I won’t get a chance now until next weekend. Well you wanted to know what I am doing every day well to begin with at 5:30 AM we had our daily exercise 6:15 we ate at 7:00 we started drilling 12:00 we ate again, at one we went out for machine gun practice and were instructed how to take them apart and clean them. You may notice the changed color in the ink but I couldn’t help it so much for that. How are you and your lessons
[Page 2]
you know I’m interested. It seems a long time since I saw you but I can’t get out of it now. You know I love you and I think of you all the time because when the captain asked me to repeat the general orders and I was in kind of a daze but I come [sic] out of it all [illegible deletion] right. I haven’t been any where [sic] since I came to Ky and I can’t leave the post for an other [sic] month so don’t worry about the southern gals from what I see of them around the post I wouldn’t go within five feet of them. I am having a hard time to get all my beauty sleep. Well so long for now darling I will always love you and don’t forget it. Love and kisses. Lots of love. Love from me to you
