Dear sweet,
I just got an other [sic] letter from you to-day [sic] so sorry you feel so blue. Why don’t you go out and have a good time the time will go by faster. Well darling I went out last night an[d] went to a show they were showing My Gal Sal but after I got and I didn’t care to go back to the barrack. [I]t made me kind of homesick. You know how much I miss you. Those days when we to go out together. You know I will still want

you after I get out of the army. [I]f there is and doubt in your mind get it out. I love you. Next week we are going out on a 2 days and 2 night hike. The Captain seems to be a nice fellow. I got out at 6 o’clock this morning and the[y] handid [sic] me a gun and I been carrying it all day to-day [sic]. I wish the war was over because I miss you more than ever. I got a letter from Bab. [sic] and my Mom to-day [sic] and I feel pretty good. [Y]our letter made me feel the best. You know my answer is yes or you should know darling. I’m not going to the

city while I am station [sic] here because it make me feel like going back home to you and I know I can’t come home just yet. When I do get home I am going to stop to see you first. I can’t think of much more to write fo so I just tell you I love you once more darling I love you. Lots of love
