Darling Yve,
I am getting quite a lot of mail I just got two more letters from you and one from my mother. Why don’t you go out and have a good time don’t do like me. I go to bed at 9 o’clock every night. There isn’t much to do down here and I don’t feel like doing much anyhow. I get in from a hike and get washed up and eat and I feel like going

to bed. To-day [sic] I just got my field pack and I will use it next week. I love you keep sending letters. I don’t bother to by [sic] the paper because down here we are required to listen to the news every noon [illegible deletion] and there is no sense in reading the funnies. I must be growing up huh? I love you. Yes I will be glad to go back home so I can put my [illegible word]. I [illegible deletion] had a dream about you last night an[d] in the dream we were married and lived together in a little house all by our self [sic]. Yes, I love you more than you know and don’t worry about me getting your letters because i am getting them. Love

Howard
