Darling Yve,
It's ok to write or send any thing [sic] you want to because I am receiving your letters everyday now. Don’t be afraid that I won’t get what you send darling because I will. The army life is getting a little better I just went and signed the pay roll [sic] for the fifth of june but with all the deduction I doubt if I will have any left, not to much any how.

You know Yve, I think your [sic] swell, writing letters every day. I wish I could express my feelings but it if it is or to put them in words. I love you. You asked me some question in your letters and the answer to all of them is yes you know I told you, you are going to be the lass of our happy little home. Tell me why you allways [sic] feel so bad in your letters I thought you were going to be brave and take it like a big girl. I love you more than ever and wish I could see you but that will have to wait. Tell norman [sic] that I would write him but

I’ve been kind of busy. They have been [illegible deletion] trying to rush us I don’t know why. Tell your father the army life is pretty good although don’t let him read these letters or I wouldn’t want him to catch up with [illegible deletion] me. Oh well such is life without a wife. I wish I had one. I will darling if I ever get home because I love you so much I will marry you [illegible deletion] even if your

Well darling I hope you can read this but if you can’t save it and I will read it to you when I get put on leave. [W]ell I [illegible deletion] guess that's all for now. Tell every body [sic] I think of them and the goodby [sic] for a little while.
