It may sound funny to you but I just got back from seeing the chaplain to-night [sic] and he gave me his name i you can read it and we had a ice long talk. He told me to come for some instructions Wed. night so by the time you get this letter I’ll probably be in the chaplain[‘s] office
[Page 2]
Gee darling I love you so very much and I wish I could see you! There[‘s] one thing you said in the letter to day [sic] that I didn’t like and it was quote (I’m wondering if your going to want to bother seeing the chaplain.) You know darling I want to marry you so much as anything in the world and even more but you seem to doubt me all the time. You know darling when I was going up to see the chaplain I had the funniest feeling. [D]o you remember the time on my last furlough that we went to see the priest. [W]ell I had that same feeling, but darling every
