Hi Darling:

You know when I mailed that letter to you last night I had it all sealed and then I saw the peice [sic] of paper with the chaplains [sic] name on it so I had to open it again. See what you do to me. Darling I love you even more to-night [sic] than I did last night and gee I wish I could see you. Well darling to day [sic] I didn’t do very much of anything of course I worked about all day but its [sic] so darn hot down here you can’t work hard. Ted just

came running in and now he’s off for Dover Tenn. to see his girl friend. So I guess it’ll all be quick til about two o’clock A.M. of course and then he might wake me as usual and tell me what time it is. Well darling to-morrow [sic] I got a ful[l] day and its [sic] the start of my instruction from the chaplain so I’ll say good night for now. I love you and darling Will You Marry Me. As Ever
