My little Darling
I just got back from a road march of 12 miles with light packs an and it was hot. [T]hey marched us right along a river. [W]ell Sunday I spent in Louisville. Our first Sarg. got married and he invited the whole co. to come to his wedding and about all of them came. [T]hen I went down to the park and took a few rides

on the roller coaster and I went to the Y for a swim and they had eats there. Then I went over to the service club Y.S.O and had some more free eats then we came back and to the bus station and waited in line for about 2 hours in the rain but its [sic] allways [sic]that way. Well thats [sic] enough about me how about you. I love you. How about you? Will you marry me (yes). I got all of your letters you sent me so far. I don’t know where to put them. I want to keep them but I haven’t much room

down here. [illegible deletion] What are you going to do on the Fourth of July darling? I wish I was with you it wouldn’t make any diff. [sic] what you did as long as I was with you. [W]ell darling my sister Evelyn sent me a picture of little [illelgble deletion] Dave and I got that in my locker. Well I haven’t any more news down here. I love you my darling [little] wife. Yours for ever [sic].
