Hello darlin

I got a letter from you to-day [sic] and it seems that you are different. I love you darling and I wouldn’t want you to change your mind about marring [sic] me. I heard about Phill giving his girl a ring but I didn’t know that he was going to get married so soon. Darling what did you mean when you said that maybe you weren’t the girl for me? I wish I could see you. You seem to be so unhappy about something.

I’m going up to see the chaplain now and I wish you wouldn’t worry about you not being the right girl. I love you and I’ll finish this letter later

Some day

Well darling I’m back and darling I got some very disappointing news. I had an appointment with the chaplain last night at eight well he wasn’t there so I went to night [sic] and the reason he wasn’t there last night was because he was shipped overseas so to-morrow [sic] I got to look for a new chaplain. Darling we have some of the worse [sic] luck. I love you darling and I want you so very much. Love

Howard
