Hi darling
How’s everything[?] I am very lonesome down here how about you[?] You won’t get any letters for about three days because I didn’t write any. You know it isn’t my fault though because I out on the firing range for 3 days and didn’t have room in my pack to carry a box of paper. Darling I love you very much and I hope you still love me.
[Page 2]
I wish I wasn’t in the army because you don’t have very much fun down here. I would like to go out with you even if it was to a cowboy picture. You can [illegible deletion] see that I am going to have a dull weekend, we were supposed to get paid the first of July and here it is the fourth and no money yet. It’s getting to be just as bad as the shuttle shop where I used to work. My [-----]and Sarg. brought his little girl in to [sic] the

barracks and it made me feel homesick. I took the girl and held her in my arms. She was a cute little thing she’s only 11 months old. Well darling I love you more + more. I wish I could see you again soon. Well that about all I can think of for now but I write to-morrow [sic] until then don’t forget I love you and I come back some day. Love
Howard
