Dearest Yve.,
I got the birthday card from you and the check. Darling, what am I going to do with fifty dollars? I also got the sad letter with it and I know just how you must feel. I went to see the Personel [sic] affairs officer (and he said to come back Tuesday) about you and junior so I guess everything will get straighten [sic] out. I wished I’d had been home because I would of made you see a doctor sooner and darling please make up your mind and get a doctor. I might have to have his name
[Page 2]
or something and if I do I’ll let you know. Darling do you mean to say you weigh 114 and didn’t hardly know it. I can’t even believe it myself. And another thing darling I won’t let you give junior back to the indians because I want him. I love you so very much darling and I know everything will be alright when I get home so have a little patience an [sic] I’ll come just as soon as possible. Darling tell me what your mom +Pop said when you told them they were going to be grandparents. I still can’t believe it myself yet. Mommy do you still love me as much as ever? I love you more all the time and I can’t wait until I get home to hold you
[Page 3]
in my arms again. Its [sic] been such a long time. I’m glad you wrote that letter because it says in it how you feel and I like to have you tell me the truth. If you hadn’t written it like that I wouldn’t of know [sic] how you were and I love you for it. I haven’t had my steak dinner yet but I will and I only wish you were here with me. On days like this is when I do need you the most. I keep thinking of the past years and I just get so I can’t do anything but think of you. I need you so darn much. Well I worked all day today and I’m pretty tired so I’ll have that dinner to morrow [sic] instead. I want you darling more than
[Page 4]
you’ll ever know and take care of junior for me until I get home. I’ll always love you and darling don’t work too hard. I love you so much. I don’t want anything to happen to you. I love you. Your loving hubby.
