Dearest mummy,
I didn’t stop the allotment but maybe they did because when I get out they’ll have to figure out all the pay to date and maybe that’s why anyway. I find out about it Tuesday when I go to personel [sic] and let you know. You know darling I’m glad your folks know that your [sic] going to have a baby now I won’t worry about you doing too much because I know your mother and she’ll lay the law down on you. Darling I went out this afternoon and told a waitress in a nice resterant [sic] just what kind of a dinner I wanted and I really got it (in about 8 courses).
[Page 2]
But I missed you so darn much I wanted you with me so much and I feel like sending that money order back to you. I’ll cash it and save it and if I don’t find any uses for it I’ll take it home with me when I come. I couldn’t find any shirts out here but I haven’t stoped [sic] looking. Gee darling I want to be with you more than anything in the world and I love you so very very much. The days seem to go so slow when I’m out here but just let me have a furlough and see how fast it goes. I love you love you and love you more my darling. I love you all even if it is 75-75 now. All my love.
Howard
