Tuesday
Dearest darling Yve.,
Just think 17 months ago to day [sic] on a tuesday [sic] we got married and I’ve really been happy ever since. I really love you so much my darling that nothing else matters. I’m so glad that we got married. You’ll never know just how much I want you. I went to the personel [sic] office and they said I could see about that maternity care but by the time I got through all the red tape out here I probably would be back east and it would take twice as long. They said for me to

have you go to the nearest red cross and tell them you want the maternity care and that I’m not in the first three grades because I’m only a T/5. I could probably see about it when I get home though but that’s [illegible deletion] that. You can go and see about it and see if you want what they got to offer though. I never have heard very much about what the terms or condition under which you get this care. You may not want it at all. I’m glad that other check caught up with you because I didn’t stop the allotment and it would be useless to stop it now and why should I?
[Page 3]
I love you so much darling and I want you more than ever. Gee darling I get so lonely around here that it’s not funny anymore. I want you I need you and most of all darling I love you very very much and that includes junior too. I got to leave now but I’ll write again soon. I got another shot in the arm again to day [sic] so I won’t catch cold. I love you Yve and I’m so glad we got married when we did. I want you like everything and ever more. I love you. As Ever.
Howard

P.S. I love you even though you do get a little round in the tummy which I know you will or you wouldn’t be now.
