Dearest Wife,
Another day gone by and a day nearer a discharge and boy can I use one. I love you so very much and I need you darling. I don’t care where we live darling as long as you like it. I got a nice letter from you today and if the only thing that keep me going. I love you so very much and I hope I’ll be home around a week before christmas and it looks possible at the present but you can never tell. Well darling, Hows [sic] my little
[Page 2]
blue eyed daughter getting along. I know she’s causing you a lot of trouble but I want her very much I want you more though darling. If I would only have one I’d want you but I love you both. I’m so much in love with you that it terribly good. I want you more than anything in the world darling. I only wish I was home to tell you instead of writing. Most all my buddies have left and I don’t do very much anymore. I just guess I’m a little family guy. I love you very much darling and I always will anyway for the next 100 years anyhow. I love you. As Ever.
