Monday
Dearest darling wife,
Hows [sic] my sweet little wife to night [sic]? I love you very much and especially to night [sic] because I got a wonderful letter from you to day [sic]. Darling again I say, don’t beleive [sic] all you read in the paper because you’ll probably get worried more than you should. As for me and the living conditions here are swell for the present. We got a nice hotel room with running water and electric [illegible] lights and a radio which works sometimes. There’s a river
[Page 2]
about a block away where we can swim and I’d have you send me some swimming trunks but by the time they got here it would be winter time. To morrow [sic] I’m going to see if I can get to the river. So darling don’t worry about me. I love you so very much and I want to see you but there’s not much I can do. So good night [sic] for now darling. I love you. As Ever,
Howard
