Dearest Yve.,
Well darling here I am on guard again and it [sic] very nice work, thats [sic] if the weathers [sic] nice. If you want to know all about my travels I’ll tell you when I get back home which I hope won’t be too long. I’ll tell you this much that I’m now east of the Rhine river [sic] if that will help you. I got two wonderful letters from you yesterday and I hope to get some more to-day [sic]. You know darling I’ll have a reputation to live up to when I get back. Everybody writes and wants to know what kind of

fighting I’m doing when really I’m not doing anything at all. Oh well I’ll get by. Gee darling I don’t know what it is but I want to go home to-day [sic] more than ever. What I wouldn’t do for a nice long vacation with you, say for about a week and do nothing but eat & sleep. I think we’ll spend that vacation in New London, Conn. I love you so very much darling and want to go home so bad but I can’t. Any way [sic] Ill write to morrow [sic]. I love you very much. As Ever,
Howard
