Hello darling,
Its [sic] just me again. I just finished my washing down at the little brook and now I’m writing while waiting for them to dry. Its [sic] really a beautiful day and I feel swell! I just took a shower this morning and now I’m clean once more. There isn’t much new around here, just the same old thing when I’m not driving I work on my truck so that’s not very interesting. There’s something that holds up the mail because I’ve got very little of it lately. I hope they find out whats [sic]
[Page 2]
wrong pretty soon because I’d like to get some of those packages that you’ve sent. Well darling how are you making out with all those kids. You know you ought to take a rest and drop about half of them. I think your [sic] working to [sic] hard. I’m glad summers [sic] coming so you’ll some of them will stop. I wish I was home to spend the summer this year but there’s no chance of it so why wish. I guess I can be thankful that I’m still ok and even though I’m in Germany there’s a lot of guys a lot worse off than I am. Well I got to close now darling so take care of your self [sic] and remember I love you so very much and I want to be with you always. I love you. As ever,
Howard
