Hello darling,
Well it [sic] me again and still feeling swell. I got that first package you sent and everything was swell. I’m going to start reading those [illegible deletion] Liberty’s after I finish this letter. There’s nothing new happen [sic] around here so not much to write about all I did to day [sic] was wash and shave and eat of course I read two funny books which were lying around. You know Jim White well he made a pan of fudge to-day [sic] and [if out harding it if will?] but you never can tell.
[Page 2]
I got Spring fever. I get out in the nice warm sunshine and don’t feel like doing anything but sleep and I’ve been doing a lot of it to-day. You don’t have to worry about me because I’ll be ok but gee I’d like to be home. I hope this damn war ends soon. Maybe I won’t be able to go home right away but at least I can think about it. I love you darling so darn much and [Yve.?] I got to go now I’ll write soon I hope I’ll hear from you soon. My last letter was dated april [sic] [illegible]. As Ever,
Howard

P.S. I love you with all.
