Dear Yve:
Haven’t heard from you for a long time,. What the matter? Gee I miss you about twice or maybe a lot more time as much when I don’t hear from you. I guess the Christmas mail is kind of holding up every thing [sic]. A lot of the boys are getting christmas packages already. You know I feel sorry for the mail man we got.
[page 2]
Well darling hows [sic] every thing [sic] on the home front I’m pretty sure that we’ll be moving out of here the first of the year (in other words January) and nobody seems to know where. I went in and had a little talk with the C.O. about a furlough and again he said no soap. So I guess he means it. Gee darling I’m getting so sick of this war that if it isn’t over soon I go nuts. Darling I went to the show this afternoon
[page 3]
for a change and saw and saw Old Acquaintance with Bette Davis and Miriam Hokins and it was pretty good. Oh well darling I got to go to the PX before it closes to get some of my dry cleaing so I [sic] see you later I hope. I love you very much and thats the only thing that keep me on the right path over the right side of the track so good night darling and Lots of love from one who loves you
