Hello darling,
Well how’s my darling little bride to night? [sic] Well to-day [sic] is Sunday and I didn’t get any letter from you to-day [sic] Well kid I went to the show and saw (Rainbow Island) and it was pretty good if you liked to see a lot of girls but of course I didn’t like it, well anyway it was packed. Then I spent about the rest of the day getting ready for that bivouac we start to morrow [sic] morning. I wish I was going home and spend[ing] the two weeks with you instead but of course we [have] got to get this training so
[Page 2]
we can go fight the Japs because by the time we go over seas the german war will be over I think or any way [sic] I hope so. Darling I just ran out of ink so that accounts for the differences no kidding darling I love you so much and miss you more and I still think that we’ll be the happiest couple that ever got married. Darling do you remember that guy that was driving the peep well he came over this morning and showed me a baby blanket that he bought for his coming baby. I asked how he knew if it was going to be a boy or a girl, he said it had to be a boy. Oh well I wish him luck. Good night darling and I’ll write again to morrow. [sic] As ever,
Howard
