Hi Darling
Its [sic] kind of lonesome down here to night [sic] because my buddy has left on a furlough. His wife got tired of being married to him so he’s gone home to become unmarried to something. He got a telegram to appear in court Dec. 6 so that [sic] why he got a furlough. I saw a very good show this morning and I think there [sic] going
[page 2]
to release it for the public and I think every one [sic] should see. The name is The battle of Russia. Its [sic] shows why the Russians are fighting. Then after that I came back to my job and to night [sic] I feel like going to the C.O. and asking for a bust. We got a bout [sic] twenty five drivers in the co. and seven of them have already put in there application
[page 3]
for over sea’s duty. Oh well lets [sic] look on the brighter side, you haven’t told me yet what you want for christmas [sic] yet. Darling I wish you tell me. Gee darling I miss you so much and gee if you only knew how much I wanted to go home. I don’t think if right I haven’t been home one holiday since I’ve been in and that [sic] a long time. Darling if I get to spend the next holiday with you it will they will
[page 4]
probably tell me about one hour before train time but it looks doubtful. Well darling it looks like I’ll have to close now so please keep loving me just a little huh! Love
