Hello darling:
Well I got a letter from you to day [sic] and got a list of what you want for christmas [sic] and what you ask for is kind of out of the question for me to get for you at the present, but I try. My Aunt from Worcester just sent me a box of filled cookies and a

nice fruit cake along with cigarettes and candy but I don’t think that they will last for long. Some of the boys saw me get it and probably they’ll pay me a visit and Maybe [sic] they won’t. I got to write to her to night [sic] after I finish this. Darling I know I got to let you know ahead of time about getting married but I’m trying to tell you I won’t know when I’ll get a furlough until about a day or maybe not that long before I’m
[page 3]
Supposed to leave. Remember how I used to come and see you on christmas when your mother and father weren’t there. Gee I’d love to be able to be with you even if it only for Xmas eve. Darling I love you so very much that I’d go anywhere for you, I even go around the world on the way home if I had to. You seem to be with me all the time because I can’t stop thinking about you. Darling I got to go now [illegible deletion] so please try not to forget me and [illegible deletion] Keep on loving me always
