(I love you darling.)

Dear Yve.,
Well darling how are you? I’m fine to [sic] but I got your air mail letter and the next letter both on wednesday so I guess you might as well send them all regular mail. Darling I got that box of candy to-night [sic] and it was swell, as a matter of fact it [sic] all gone. Ray and Jack both got letters from you and they told me to tell you that well Ray forward[ed] his to Maxine and Jack took his home to Doris. Half pint you better send your mail direct to Maxine because Kalas see’s [sic] all the return address’s [sic] on the letters and when he saw your address on the letter addressed to Ray, well it was the talk of the company.
[Page 2]
Yve you didn’t have to tell me anything about my sister Betty, because I’ve known all along that she was just using you as an excuse to go out with her so called boyfriends. I didn’t tell you because if I told you in the beginning you wouldn’t of [sic] believed me so I thought you better find out for yourself. I know how she is darling I’ve had a lot of dealings when she was first married up until the time I came in the army and it cost me quite a bit but I’ve charged it up to experience. Darling I love you so much and I wish I could be home with you. I’m so lonely myself that we [would] be one lonely pair if I was home wouldn’t we or just the opposite. I hope this war is over so we can be happy I love you darling more than any thing [sic] in the world and don’t worry I’ll always be the same. Love,
Howard
