Hi Darling
Well here I am again, it is now 2:30 in the morning and I’m writing you a letter. That show you how much I love you[?] I’m in the guard house now no I did’nt [sic] do anything wrong. I’m just a guard to-night [sic], I’ve been trying to find time to write to you but for the last 6 days I’ve been so busy that I couldn’t. Darling you don’t know how lucky I am they called out 36 Pvt. out of my company to go across and they missed me. They took all my buddies that I go around with. They called them in in [sic] the morning and shipped them out the next day and they would’nt [sic] let the[m] even

write. Well darling so much for that. I asked you for your ring size and you said ½ size smaller than your [illegible deletion] class ring that[‘]s tilling [sic] me a lot. You better hurry up Xmas is coming and I still love you. I write a little later when I got more time. [U]ntil then good night darling. I love you. Love
