Hello Darling:
I know its [sic] kind of late to be writing you a letter but I’ll be able to sleep till about nine thirty to-morrow morning. By the way darling when are you going to start to date my letters 1944 instead of “43.” Well darling we had another parade to-day [sic] because another General left. They even gave him a thirteen gun salute and thats [sic] something unusual for this camp. Gee I know how Stanley felt when he had to leave
[page 2]
it because I’ve been through it a lot of times already. I miss you so darn much to night [sic] that its [sic] awful and the funny part of it is that I’m lame all over and it nothing I’ve done that’s made me lame because we didn’t go on that 25 mile hike as we were going to, instead we went out on a black out drive again. Well darling I’m going to say good night [sic] for now and going to see if I can sleep. I love you so very much that I have a hard time sleeping when I’m thinking of you. I love you darling. As Ever
