Hello Darling:
Well here I am back from bivouac and what a releef [sic] to be back although I got to go right back. I was going to write to you sunday [sic] but I ran out of paper and couldn’t get any until to-night. Gee darling I wish I could express my feelings for you, I don’t know I miss you so much and how I’d love to take you in my arms and hold you oh so close. I had a dream about you

[page 2]

last night and then to day [sic] I got that letter from you saying you had a dream and the funny part of it was the both dreams we’re the same. It dream seems that I was with you and you and I were married and I didn’t have to leave you anymore. Oh darling I love you so very very much and don’t forget it darling. I got to cut it short now because I got to leave again. I love you and please keep on loving me because this war can’t last forever. I love you with all my heart

Howard
