Hello darling,
Well here it is saturday and I’m going down in the hills of Tenn. some where. [sic] We’re close to a little town name [sic] gallatin [sic] Tenn. this morning but it won’t be for long. I haven’t been able to write very regular[ly] but I write every chance I get. Like yesterday we left at three thirty in the morning and I drove all day until nine at night and I couldn’t write because every thing [sic] was wet. I’m getting my mail pretty regular[ly] so keep writing. You don’t know what a letter from
[Page 2]
you does for me. The other day I got me a G.I. hair cut [sic] which I had to get because being out for a month it would be too long. I get a furlough though I hope so anyway. Gee darling I miss you so very much and I think I’ll get a furlough around the middle of November but it isn’t certain yet. I hope so any way. [sic] I got to go now but I’ll write again. I still love you more than ever and I want to be with you more than you know. Keep your chin up darling and wait a little while longer and I’ll be home. I love you darling. As Ever,
Howard
