Dear Yve:
I know its [sic] been a long time since I’ve written you but you got to under stand [sic] how it is. I just got back from bivouac and am leaving back for there wither Friday or Saturday for an other [sic] week. Darling its [sic] getting a little colder down here and it won’t be so nice but you know me I love the army. Darling don’t blame me if I don’t answer the letters because out in the feild [sic] its [sic] hard to keep track of letters, they get lost awful easy and then when

you get time to write them you can’t find the letter don’t we have fun though. Well darling nothing knew new has happened down here so there [sic] not much to write about except I love you very much and that [illegible deletion] all I can say. Darling I love you very very much. Love
