Hi Darling
Here I am at the end of the day with nothing to do. We got up this morning and I took a shower as I’m used to, and boy was it cold. Then I went down to the office and put my books in order that took me until noon. For dinner we had a turkey and all the fixing[s]. [W]e had every thing [sic] from turkey to pumkin [sic] pie and ice cream. Then after we finished our dinner we had to go back to work isn’t that something. Work on [T]hanksgiving. I’ll bet you had a nice time to-day [sic]. Who won the foot-ball [sic] game? Webster or Well’s? I wish I could of [sic] seen it.
[Page 2]
I think I’d even root for Well’s you know I would anyway. Gee it’s awful dead around here with Sandy gone on his furlough. There’s about six men left out of eighteen in the barrack that I sleep in. You know if you can read this letter you’r [sic] better than I am. I went to read what I wrote and I can’t make it out. It[‘s] cold down here to-night [sic]. Why don’t you come down and warm me up a little? (Brr) Honey I just discovered that I love you more and more every day so please pray that this war will be over before it I get to be an old man. Well I love you and write soon. Love
Howard
P.S. I love you.
