Dearest darling wife,
I love you period. I love you comma, I love you anyway you are ever with all the fixings. Well darling its [sic] been an awful tough day. We went out to the range and fired two shots and the rest of the rest of the morning slept and this afternoon I helped another guy drive his truck. You see when he wanted

to smoke a cigarette well [sic] I drove and when I smoked he drove so it was ok. The captain asked me what I was doing and I told him and he laughed. Darling I think I’ve got good news. We’ll be here over New Years and the best part of it is that half the company gets passes Christmas and half New Years and the best part is they last five days so maybe you’ll come huh? I give you more [illegible word] on that later.

[Page 3]

Well tonight I went and drew a lot of clothes. Well thats [sic] about all except all I do is sleep. They got a crazy idea that all we need is a little drinkin’ so we got plenty of it. Well thats [sic] about all but will write to-morrow [sic]. Well good night darling and remember I love you as Ever
