Hi Honey
How is everything to-day [sic]. Well I feel much better to-day [sic] and I think I may be out of here by next weekend. They ain’t [sic] so bad here. [T]hey give you better food and everything. Darling will you go and tell my folks why I haven’t been writing lately and tell my fath pop that I didn’t forget his birthday but its [sic] kind of hard to send him a card from a hospital bed. I sure would like to get out of here though.
[Page 2]
Well I haven’t had any letters this week. Its [sic] because we moved from Knox down here and then I came to the hospital. Gee I wish you could be here now. You don’t know how much I’ve missed you . Well [H]oney so much for that how are you and what are you doing nowadays? I wish I was back home for just about twenty years. Might as well wish for a lot instead of two or three days. Every body [sic] is going to wonder what happened to me. They probably think I [am] dead or something. I haven’t written a single letter except to you. I love you [D]arling and I hope you still love me. I hope I get my mail. I haven’t had a letter for so long. I’m getting home sick [sic]. I love you. I love you. Love
Howard
