Dearest darling Wife
Well it seem that the army is all mixed up even with the 76th div. but you should see it out here. One thing the weather has been nice out here. The temp reaches up around 100 in the middle of the day and its [sic] nice a [sic] cool at night you could wear a coat if and it wouldn’t be too warm. To night [sic] we are suppose to celabrate [sic] a guy in my squad that’s going home tomorrow on discharge. Gee I envy him but he needs to get out because he has to support his mother and two sister because he has no farther [sic]. I tell them I got a wife but thats [sic] no go
[Page 2]
I guess they just like me and don’t want me to leave this place. Darling I got that letter to day [sic] that was full of mush and I feel so darn mushy that it’s a good thing we are so far apart because I [illegible deletion] know you wouldn’t even be able to sleep to night [sic] because I would be there but I always say that but I go to sleep in the and don’t I darling. Gee sweet I love you more every day and I just can’t get along with out [sic] you it seem that every day I got to have you that much more. I guess theres [sic] only one way to put it I love you more + more every day gee I love you. Your loving husband.
Howard
