Hi [D]arling
How’s everything to-day [sic]? Gee I’m lonesome to day [sic]. I like your new writing paper but don’t you think its [sic] kind of small? Gee I wish that I was in Boston with you last weekend. Well yesterday I went up to the service desk and played a few games of ping pong and lost every game and then I went to the show and saw My Heart Belongs to Daddy. [I]t was ok to [sic]. Well [D]arling did you get my check yet or did it get lost in the mail? I hope it didn’t anyway. I got a big box of cookies and candy from my father and mother yesterday and a big valentine from my little darling, you.
[Page 2]
There is nothing new down here except that to morrow [sic] we’re going out and listen to the Lead Fly on the range. I think I go to town this afternoon for a change. I only have been there once since [C]hristmas so maybe the change will do me good. Well [D]arling I love you very much and I wish I could get a furlough so I could see you but I will have to wait another couple months for that. Gee I hope this war ends pretty soon or I’ll go nuts. Well [D]arling I guess I [will] close now for I got [sic] to go to church and [D]arling your [sic] still my one and only. I love you, love you, love you. Lots of love
Howard
P.S. I love you.
