Hi Darling
How are you? I know a little boy who really loves you do you know who I mean? Well [D]arling I got a letter from you to-day [sic] and I feel much better now that I know you still love me. I was beginning to feel a little blue because there was about five days that I didn’t even get a letter and I thought you didn’t care anymore. Darling you know that anything that you do is ok by me. [Y]ou can go out and do anything so long as you still love me a little or make me believe you do because I believe everything you write so I hope your [sic] not giving me a line.
[Page 2]
Well there was a little dirt in one corner of the barracks this morning so the first Sergeant or as we know him the Toy Kick made us scrub all the floors after chow to-night [sic] so that’s why I [am] so late on writing this letter. About the $50 you can do what you want with it you can even go out and spend it if you want to. I shure [sic] hope I’ll get a furlough in [illegible] or the first of many anyway. [T]he first of many means one year service and I should go home and celebrate about any time i go home. I want to spend all my time with you. All my love
Howard
P.S. I really love you so much I wake up at night dreaming.
P.S. The dreams are very nice.
