Wednesday
Dearest Yve.,
Well how’s everything at home to-day? I didn’t write last night but I know you’ll excuse me because I got a five day pass and went out hunting for a job to work the five days. I got one out of camp in a construction outfit and am doing [illegible] labor but a few days won’t kill me and what the heck I might as well make a little money
[Page 2]
instead of laying around. I’m getting like you got to keep busy. I’m just seeing how you like it to have your husband working all the time. Darling, please don’t work too hard because I want you to feel ok when I get home. It [sic] really too bad about Don + Rita but of course you don’t know both sides and I hope it all turns out for the best. When is Don getting out anyway? I thought he was about
[Page 3]
up for discharge. Gee darling I love you very much and nothing like that will ever happen to us will it dear. I want you just like you’ve always been no changes necessary. I love you with all my heart and take care of poor little you for me. I love you. As Ever.
Howard

P.S. I love you most.
