Hi darling:
As you know I didn’t write to you last night and you have probably guess the reason why. Well I had to work late and I didn’t have a blonde on my lap either. Well so much for that. How are you and by the way how is everybody at home and how is your grandmother these days. You haven’t said much about her lately and I was begining [sic] to wonder. Darling you said you went bowling but you didn’t say what you[r] score was although you said you got all good ones
[Page 2]
by the way what was your score? Darling I got a letter from Betty to day [sic] and in it she told me she was going to tell you all my bad habits and now she’s got my worried. Anyway I can’t think of any habits that I have that are too bad and if they are you got to take me for better or worse. I got kind of brave to day [sic] and walked up to the first sergeant and asked him when I was going to get a furlough. Well when the smoke cleared I could hear him say it would be before I ship over seas [sic]. Yve. I’ll have to cut it short because I’ll have to write about five post card [sic] size letters to night [sic]. I love you very much and I hope I’m on furlough very soon. As Ever
Howard
