Dear Yve
How I wish I was there with you. Its been a long [time] since I saw you. How is every thing [sic] with my little darling? Are you as lonely as you say in your letters? I wish that you were not quite so far away [illelgble deletion] so I could see you once in a while [sic]. I think that I’m going to have a few days home before the first of Sept. I hope so anyways. I just got a letter from my sister Barbara and just between me and you she is going to have an addition to the family. Aren’t they kind of lucky though[?] I’m so tired to night [sic] that I won’t write so very much. I back from a 22 mile hike and I feel kind of tired. We had one of those on Tues. and one of them on Wed. and they were all 22 miles. So keep your fingers crossed and pray for
[Page 2]
me darling and I love you so very much that I know that you will wait. I write you more about when I’m coming home and I’ll be as good as you are. I wish I could go home now. Well honey I got to close now so be good and I love you. Love
Howard
