Side entrance of Old Main.

Old Main is one of the older classroom buildings on campus. The building is four stories tall and houses several different departments. The legend involving this building is enticingly vague and retellings often include embellishments.

A female student fell in love with one of her married male professors. On Valentine's Day she confessed her feelings through a love letter to the professor, who rejected her. When she found out her feelings were not returned, she committed suicide. The usual belief is that she threw herself from the top floor, either by way of the upper windows or the stairs, of Old Main, as the professor taught there [1].

She is believed to still haunt the building. Every Valentine's Day, she sends her letter to a different professor, though the note disappears if the professor attempts to show it to anyone else or take if from the room. She also is reported to attempt to pull other students, particularly female ones, from the top floor to join her. Al, the Comstock Theatre ghost, has uttered warnings about her via Ouija board, saying that she is dangerous to anyone who asks him [1].
